Our aim is to make our trips as enjoyable and varied as possible, with consideration to learning, fun and friendship, whilst keeping the costs affordable.
Details of forthcoming trips are included below, but also check our latest Newsletter for information about other trips being planned for the future.
Sometimes we have late cancellations, in which case you may receive a call if your name is on the waiting list. So do not give up if you think the list is full, you may still have a chance. It is sometimes worth calling our Social Secretary to check.
If you find that you are unable to keep a booking you have made, please let our Social Secretary know, as it will free the place for someone else. Remember to write what you are paying for on the back of your cheques, and if you have them ready at the general meeting, it will speed things up.
Please make cheques payable to Hullbridge u3a, with details on reverse, to pay in at meeting.
You can now pay by BACS using our HSBC account and pay in part or in full for one or more trip, BUT each trip to have its own transaction –
For example you want to pay £10 each towards the - Mamma Mia Show in London, & £10 Hullbridge u3a Xmas u3a Lunch Party, you have to make 2 separate payments (as there is not enough space to reference both).
1st bank transaction by BACS enter the amount you are paying - £10 Ref: M.Mia.
2nd bank transaction by (BACS) enter the amount you are paying - £10 with ref: Xmas .
Your name & reference will show against each payment received & will be allocated to the event. Your payment will be received & recorded directly into the Social Account.

A great selection of Interest Groups filled the tables and members arrived from 1 o'clock in good numbers. Our refreshment team worked hard to ensure there was an adequate supply of tea, coffee and biscuits. It was an ideal opportunity for groups to show what they do and for members to enroll if they saw something of interest. It was also an occasion for members to gather and chat over a brew. Thank you to all in attendance.
Thank You to our Speaker Mark Butterworth on the 21st April 2026
Thank You to our Guest Speaker Mark Butterworth on 21st April who delivered a very interesting talk about Lloyd's of London and shared a lot of learning before inviting the floor to ask questions.
Thank you Mark
