New Members Welcome
Our group has read an eclectic range of literature over the months, including both fiction and non- fiction: from the discovery of how to measure longitude, to a white Zimbabwean’s family’s experiences; from historical novels to detective stories.
Books we have read include Hilary Mantel’s ‘Bring up the Bodies’: her sequel to Wolf Hall and her follow-up winner of the Man Booker prize. This was followed by “Blue Monday’” a crime novel by Nicci French – quite a contrast.
Arranging a Book Group in Hullbridge library couldn’t be easier, as the library staff members are very helpful and, within availability limitations, will order the required books.
If you would like to join the book group or interested in facilitating a new one, please contact the Group Coordinator, or put your name on the wish list at the General Meeting. I am also very happy to talk to anyone who may feel inclined to start a new group.
